Up Close & Personal – 5 Random Facts About Me
Good morning and Welcome!
I’m Chigi and this is my blog. This is a place where I share a little bit about my life and my world. Just to give you a little intro, I’m Nigerian American, born in Nigeria, raised in Nigeria and Holland and I’m married to a Ugandan American man. We both moved to the United States right after High School and we met in college 12 years ago. We currently live in Richmond Texas which is within the Greater Houston area, and we love it here.
Also, one thing about me is I’m very Random. I can ask the most random questions, do random things and get amazing ideas at random moments. This makes people either laugh or look at me funny and say “Wow! That was so random” (LOL) and my answer is usually “Yup, I’m random like that”.
So, in honor of my unique and random personality, I’m going to share 5 random facts about me below which only a few people may know. Feel very free to share some facts about you too so we can get to know each other better.
- I’m Shy – Some people very close to me don’t agree because I’m very open with them, but that’s because I already know them and very comfortable with them.
- I’m obsessed with the 3 P’s. Plantain, Pasta, Potatoes – This is my weakness and this is what makes my weight loss journey really hard. It can be any type of Pasta or Potatoes, but it must be good old fried plantain. So, if you want to be my BFF or get my attention, offer me some delicious fried plantains, but make sure no other plantain lover is nearby (WINK).
- Michelle Obama is my Aunt – She really is and nobody can tell me otherwise. I’ve been getting questions and compliments relating to her since 2007 and I roll with it. She’s one of the most intelligent, beautiful, assertive and classy women of our time and if you didn’t know, now you know (LOL).
- I’m a Heroine addict – As in, I’m addicted to the MAC Heroine Lipstick. It’s the right balance of color and tone and it compliments my skin and personality. Thanks Nnenna boo for getting me hooked.
- I Love… love… love Lace and Ankara – Lace to me is very classy, sexy, beautiful and timeless and Ankara is very bold, colorful and unique. I’m a little bit of both.
