InStyle Inspiration – Plaid Vest and Red Boots + GIVEAWAY

Hope you’re having a great week. While looking through the December Issue of InStyle Magazine, I suddenly became inspired to recreate a look. My Instyle inspiration was this plaid coat look with red knee-high boots, so I recreated it with my own spin to it and to ENTER the GIVEAWAY this week, Scroll Down for details.
To me, fashion isn’t about trends and designers, it’s much more personal to me. It is being able to fully express myself. I get inspiration from different things from colors to prints, textures, experiences and beautiful moments. Don’t get me wrong, I love and will wear some high-end designer brands and items, but I also wear other lower end brands if I love them and see the beauty in what they create.
I’m that girl who can splurge on a shoe or handbag but wear a dress that’s such a steal. No matter the price, I love a good sale because I’m also a business woman and saving is also important to me. I know how to invest in myself and my wardrobe, but I also know how to save to invest in bigger and better things I have planned in the future.
A plaid coat or vest is such a great investment piece. One of the reasons I love plaid is because it’s timeless and as a vest, it’s a great transitional item to wear when the seasons transitions e.g. Summer to Fall.
