NYFW LOOK – Brooklyn Street Style

Good morning my loves,

You all must have heard the song “Empire State of Mind aka. New York” by Alicia Keys and Jay Z. A line goes like this, “concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there’s nothing you can’t do….” Well, this is what I felt being there for New York Fashion Week (NYFW). I’m not a city girl, I don’t like the fast pace life and sensory overload of crowds but there was something amazing about being there. I could feel the drive, the dreams and the hustle of everyone in the city and it was infectious. Being there for a week validated my dreams, inspired me and set my drive to another level. It was magic!

Also being in New York lights a creative fire in you. There is art all around. From the street style to the wall art to the raw talent on the streets. Even the noise from the cars and crowd became music and all that gave me hope to continue to create, design and write for the love of it.

My look for today was inspired by the graffiti and diversity of the city.  I wore an oversize blazer from 3reec’s as a dress and belted it. Then I wore one of my favorite new booties from Shop R. Denise which enhanced my look. I then accessorized with my chunky Siammpatra jewelry which is like candy to me, sunnies and the cutest purse from Style Circle to add some edge to my look.
